The Set Design and Decor of Fashion Police
While Fashion Police is of course about fashion there’s no denying how much effort the behind the scenes team put into making the set look beautiful. As the years have gone by, the set design has undergone multiple transformations and each one has been a delight to look at. There has always been a common theme of rich colors and textures along with sumptuous patterns and designs that has given the show a strong identity. Wallpaper, curtains and sconces along with the city backdrop images (the studio doesn’t actually look over the city!) creates a strong visual background. The shows aesthetic is further strengthened by tasteful use of color contrasts, often involving gold alongside a more subtle brown or white.Read more
The Johnathan Adler Look
This set design of Fashion Police is a treasure trove of Johnathan Adler pieces. From the regal looking Louis Armchairs to the various decorative objects which include ceramic birds and a selection of vases. One interesting touch is the lettered pillows G, K, J & G. Each letter on these pillows corresponds to the first letter of our hosts - Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne, Joan Rivers & George Kotsiopoulos. On top of this the set sits on top of a beautifully patterned Peruvian wave rug. Finally, to pull the design together the stunning Meurice Chandelier, with the yellow-gold curtain backdrop, brightens and uplifts the room. Coffee Tables of Fashion Police
Over the years the Fashion Police set has boasted a number of eye catching coffee tables. These include a beautiful Powell Gold Leaf Coffee Table which we can only assume was inspired by the Platner Coffee Table (designed by the world-renowned Warren Platner). We also have the chic handcrafted marble topped Nixon Cocktail Table which was designed with an upmarket East Coast look. While these coffee tables don’t get much use on the show, it’s obvious how important a coffee table is to tying a living room together.
