The Beach House

The Beach House

The beautiful beach house in Grace and Frankie has become a star in its own right. Production designer Devorah Herbert together with set decorators Beauchamp Fontaine (season one) and Christopher Carlson (season two) delivered wonderful eye-catching sets throughout different locations, but Frankie’s Malibu beach house is a particular fan favorite. The exteriors were filmed at Broad Beach with the interiors being built on a sound stage. It features light and airy interiors with a refined nautical theme. The interior decoration is a considered reflection of Frankie’s character. With a varied blend of décor it seems the perfect fit for the free-spirted artist.Read more

Inside the Beach House

Inside the Beach House

Grace moves into Frankie’s beach house as they both struggle to come to terms with their new circumstances. The house is very much decorated to Frankie’s taste. With an eclectic mix of furniture and décor, it is clearly connected with the ocean and the outdoors. Painted in different tones of blues and whites and with dark wood floors throughout. The furniture is predominantly light colored with the odd bright colored armchair as an exception. The nautical theme is continued through décor, lamps and the rope chandeliers. The Williston rattan dining chairs also add to the outdoors beach-side feel and aesthetic.Read more

The Hanson Family Home

The Hanson Family Home

Another much sought-after set is the Hanson family home. When Grace moved out Sol moved in with Robert. This house is beautifully decorated. The interiors are much more of a classic American style. Modern furniture derived from traditional designs with a certain luxurious quality. We love the open plan living room and kitchen. Classic kitchen units in white with dark wood early 20th century X-back bar stools and simple milk glass pendant lights over the island. The brown wallpaper offsets the ornate cornicing and skirting in white. The stunning furniture definitely garners our attention. Robert’s Corrine Wingback Armchair a firm favorite.Read more
