Based on the hugely popular novel by Gillian Flynn, Gone Girl (2014) was an equally popular movie, grossing $370m worldwide. Directed by David Fincher, it definitely has that “Fincher” look and feel. He enlisted frequent collaborators Jeff Cronenweth (cinematography) and Donald Graham Burt (production design) to help create this aesthetic. We particularly like the work of set decorator Douglas A. Mowat in Nick Dunnes’ (Ben Affleck) house and Desi Collings’ (Neil Patrick Harris) forest retreat.Read more »
