Danny Collins (Al Pacino) is an aging rock star who discovers that John Lennon had written him a letter 40 years previous, but he never received it. The result is a pretty solid ‘what-if’ redemption drama by writer director Dan Fogelman. Acclaimed production designer Dan Bishop takes the reins in designing a suitable mixed bag of environments and landscapes on which the story can unfold. From Samantha and Tom Donnelly’s (Jennifer Garner and Bobby Cannavale) modest New Jersey home to the brilliantly uninspiring local Hilton Hotel.
